Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our Community Respiratory Team. As a Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with moderate to severe COPD in their own homes.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Physiotherapy, current HCPC registration, and at least one year of experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist. You will be willing to work in a training post to gain the experience to move into a Band 6 role within the team within a two-year period.

The Community Respiratory Team is a dynamic and responsive multidisciplinary team that aims to support patients with COPD. The team is comprised of physiotherapists, nurses, OT, pharmacist, rehabilitation support worker, business support, and leadership roles.

The successful candidate will work autonomously within their scope of practice to make clinical judgments regarding patient prioritization and management. You will link with the Respiratory Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team and hospital-based respiratory assessment services/respiratory nurse specialists.

The shift pattern for this post is 29.7 hours over Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG.
