Flexible Work Opportunities for Teachers

We are currently working with numerous mainstream secondary schools across Sunderland, County Durham, and South Shields, and we are seeking Ad Hoc Supply Teachers for general cover or long-term positions.

Whether you are an Early Careers teacher seeking school-based experience or a Fully Qualified Teacher looking for a change, we can provide you with regular daily work.

We offer flexible work opportunities, with the option to work 2 or 5 days a week. Our supply teaching roles require you to have your own form of transport, as we may call you on the morning of work at short notice.

However, we also have several pre-planned absences where we will be able to provide you with advanced notice of work, allowing you plenty of time to prepare for the day ahead.

The role can vary from school to school, but generally, responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the classroom ready for a lesson.
  • Delivering the pre-set work.
  • Ensuring the class stays on task.
  • Assisting any children who may require extra support.
  • Clearing away at the end of a lesson.
  • Competitive pay rates: £120 - £150 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) and paid to scale from day one for long-term positions.

Previous experience in education or the care sector is desirable, but we also accept applications from inexperienced staff looking to start a career in a school setting. Qualified teachers who are only available part-time are extremely desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
