An exciting opportunity has arisen at Academics Ltd for an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our community in Thatcham, West Berkshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist students with additional needs on a 1-1 basis and guide them in lessons with both lesson material and emotions.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in meetings with occupational and clinical therapists and psychologists to improve students' quality of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with autism, ADHD, OCD, and Dyslexia
  • Assisting students on a 1-1 basis
  • Guiding students in lessons with both lesson material and emotions
  • Encouraging independence and self-regulation
  • Implementing different therapeutic techniques
Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with young people.

Relevant experience is beneficial but not mandatory. What is essential is a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
