Substance Misuse Lead Nurse Opportunity

Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Lead Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team in Health and Justice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Substance Misuse Service, providing strong clinical leadership and managing a skilled team of healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance misuse, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

The role will involve assessing, diagnosing, and providing advice and care to patients, as well as demonstrating knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and treatment options.

The successful candidate will be passionate about patient care, have advanced nursing knowledge, and be committed to delivering high-quality care in a prison setting.

The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Substance Misuse Service, including co-ordination of patient care and provision of strong clinical leadership.
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide advice and care to patients.
  • Manage a skilled team of healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and treatment options.
Requirements
  • Post registration experience in substance misuse.
  • Multi-Disciplinary working.
  • Understanding of clinical governance.
  • Recovery based models.
  • Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Offender health knowledge.
  • Experience of working with an integrated model.
  • Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on health care delivery in a prison setting.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
