About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Site Manager to join our team at Randstad UK Holding. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process of a flagship, multi-phased scheme in Bedford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the construction process to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Supervise and train site staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings and ensure that all parties are working together to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that the project is delivered within budget.
  • Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed and that the site is a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and manage the snagging process, ensuring that all defects are identified and rectified.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including the Contract Manager and other senior management.
  • Ensure that all quality control processes are in place and that the project meets the required standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the completion process, including CMLS and handovers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or equivalent role in a traditional build scheme.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced and busy site.
  • Experience of training and managing site staff.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
