Electrical Supervisor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Bristol, a category B local adult prison. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance and installation work within the prison.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance and installation work
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and electrical standards
  • Manage and maintain electrical equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans and schedules

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Full driving license preferably with D1
  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
