Care Assistant Role Overview

Orwell Housing Association is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Sydney Brown Court in Hadleigh. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

The ideal candidate will have a natural caring nature, great sense of humour, and a positive energy that brings a smile to people's faces. You will be warm and friendly, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to listen actively. Your main duties will include personal care, medication administration, supporting people through temporary or terminal illness, and helping with eating and drinking. You will also assist with light domestic duties such as bed making and provide social, physical activities, and mental stimulation such as hobbies and recreation.

Salary: £23,210.78 per annum (pro rata) based on 30 hours per week, plus bank holidays and various bank/relief shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications: A Care Certificate is desirable, as well as QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. A Full driving license is also desirable. To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet specific criteria outlined below.
