Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Configuration Team Leader to join our team at CDW UK. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for leading and driving a team of skilled technicians to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of technicians to achieve exceptional results and high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments.
  • Identify and address skills gaps and training needs within the team.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of configuration orders and quality checking.
  • Conduct regular 1-to-1 meetings and annual performance reviews with team members.
  • Work closely with the Configuration Supervisor to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to ensure high standards of health and safety and housekeeping within the department.
  • Experience in assuring quality standards and processes.
  • Understanding of the department's impact on other CDW departments and customers.
Desirable Attributes and Experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technical environment, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Understanding of an organisational structure from a commercial perspective.
  • Experience as a configuration technician would be an advantage.
  • Passion for the IT industry and pre-delivery configuration of customer equipment.
  • Understanding of the industry and CDW's role, including its customer base.
  • Business management skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
