As a Control Systems Security Specialist at Darktrace, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that protect cyber physical systems. You will leverage your control system engineering experience to contribute to our ongoing goal of delivering AI-powered cyber physical systems for operational technology.

Working alongside a team of control and software engineers, you will work with multiple control system hardware and software deployments in an OT-focused development laboratory. The core software modules are predominantly written in C++ and Python, and you will also have exposure to various supporting and component technologies like Docker and Terraform.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the Cambridge office. To excel in this position, you should possess a solution-focused mindset combined with an analytical approach to problem-solving.

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate their ability to program using Python and write code in a production environment. Additionally, you should:

  • Be comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions while also being able to work cooperatively within a team,
  • Show knowledge or interest in cyber-security/malware forensics,
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, strong time management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize a varied workload,
  • Hold software/hardware experience with multiple control system vendor deployments such as ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, Mitsubishi, GE, Siemens, and Rockwell,
  • Have experience in a Linux software development environment.

Estimated salary range: £60,000 - £80,000 based on industry standards and location.
