Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Teacher of Employability Skills to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programmes that equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programmes, including identifying learning objectives, designing study materials, and planning course delivery.
  • Use a variety of teaching and learning methods to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
  • Ensure that teaching is based on current best practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including guidance and counselling.
  • Manage student issues and take responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of students and staff.
  • Engage with employers and support organisations to develop strong relationships and opportunities for students.

Requirements

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths.
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years.
  • Experience of facilitating learning in an educational or workplace setting.
  • Current evidence-based practice in the field of expertise.
  • Awareness of awarding organisation requirements.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
