**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Director to join our team at the University of Stirling. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial ambition and driving income growth.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strategic financial leadership in a large and complex organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust financial plan that steers us towards our income growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide highly specialised professional leadership and direction to a dedicated team
  • Develop a financial plan that drives income growth and cost efficiencies
  • Work closely with Deans, Executive Directors, and cross-functional teams to ensure our financial efforts align with our Strategic Plan
  • Analyse performance metrics, manage risks, and ensure our strategic developments are financially sustainable
  • Collaborate with the Head of Policy and Planning to refine our university's planning approach
  • Stay informed about financial trends and shifts, providing valuable input for our strategic financial planning

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with a relevant professional accountancy qualification
  • Strategic financial leadership experience in a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrable record of accomplishment of developing and implementing vision and strategy that enables growth in activity and reputation
