Job Description

Account Associate

The Business Services team at Insite Public Practice Recruitment UK is seeking a highly skilled Account Associate to join our team. As an Account Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing quality accounting services to our clients within the Outsourcing Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all accounting work for a wide range of corporate and charity organisations in compliance with the firm's and statutory procedures.
  • Prepare management accounts and statutory financial reports, including consolidated accounts, from manual and computerised accounting records.
  • Provide general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts and VAT returns.
  • Recommend improvements to clients' accounting systems and controls and assist clients whenever needed.
  • Take ownership of communicating with clients, developing and building strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Good GCSE results with a minimum of grade B/level 5 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Experience of preparing statutory and management accounts
  • AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified, or equivalent
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Xero
  • Ideally experience in implementation of Cloud based accounting software
  • MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Accounting software knowledge and experience - Sage, QuickBooks Online or Xero (desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience with other accounting add-ons (compatible with Cloud accounting software, for example, Dext, FUTRLI, Fathom and Expensify)
  • Advanced Excel skills (desirable)
