Job Title: Regional Safety Director

Van Pool Transportation LLC is seeking a highly skilled Regional Safety Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for championing and implementing our Safety Program across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute safety strategies to reduce vehicle crashes and workplace injuries
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory compliance programs, including FMCSA, FTA, OSHA, and state/contract requirements
  • Collaborate with regional operations staff to investigate incidents and develop corrective actions
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct on-site and virtual inspections, audits, and reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in critical thinking and safety management
  • Significant experience in commercial passenger transportation safety, education, and training
  • Proven track record of providing effective safety leadership to multiple locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the assigned region
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies, project management, and contract administration
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and transportation-related software
  • Previous success in supporting regulatory audits and investigations
