We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a key role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare staff, and will be responsible for the organisation, management and supply of pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical ward pharmacy services, including the safe and secure handling of medicines and the clinical and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Act as the Lead Pharmacist for one or more specialties, including Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Burns, Critical Care, Paediatrics, Sleep Disorder, McIndoe Centre, Radiology, High Cost Drugs and Formulary.
- Supervise more junior pharmacy staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement guidelines and policies related to medicines management and clinical pharmacy services.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist.
- Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
- Experience of clinical pharmacy services, including audit and supervising staff.
- Good English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people.
- IT skills, with the ability to use different systems with training.
- Accurate and attention to detail, with the ability to problem solve.
