Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at UKCIL. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of our client, who requires assistance with daily living tasks due to a degenerative spinal condition and complex PTSD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and cooking
  • Support with household chores, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Accompany our client on social and leisure activities, promoting independence and confidence
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in care support or a related field
  • Basic training will be provided, but prior knowledge of health and hygiene, manual handling, and medication administration is preferred

Working Conditions

This is a 24-hour live-in position, requiring flexibility and a willingness to work rotating shifts. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring the client's well-being and independence.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £11.66 per hour, equating to approximately £24,000 per annum. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer a supportive working environment, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career development.
