About the Role

This is a leadership position within a renowned Net Zero Consultancy firm, established for over 35 years. The company has a strong client base in the Real Estate and Industrial and Commercial markets, and is expanding its ESG Assurance and Verification services. As the Head of ESG Assurance and Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing new product and service lines, creating marketing and sales strategies, and managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive Service Development Plan for ESG Assurance and Verification
  • Define products, sectors, and clients to drive business growth
  • Utilize networks and market relationships to drive sales and revenue
  • Lead major account management and client relationships
  • Design and lead marketing and sales communications to promote the company's services
  • Manage the P&L and invoicing for the team
  • Line management and team utilization
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree (or equivalent) in accounting, sciences, engineering, or economics is desirable
  • Experience leading ESG Assurance services lines, including product and service development
  • Established technical understanding of data acquisition in corporate sustainability reporting
  • Strong understanding of assurance and verification in relation to sustainability data and reporting
  • Track record in delivering assurance to different specifications and standards (e.g., ISO standards, ISAE 3000, etc.)
  • Managing large-scale projects, project teams, and delivering to deadlines
  • Complex data management and environmental reporting for real estate portfolios
  • Account management and new business development
  • P&L management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
