Software Engineering Manager Role

Are you a seasoned software engineering professional looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and innovative company? Harnham is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in leading teams and managing projects. They will be responsible for overseeing the development of software applications, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication. The Software Engineering Manager will also be responsible for mentoring and developing junior engineers, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in back-end technologies such as Java, Typescript, or Python. They will also have experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, and a good understanding of DevOps and architecture principles.

In return for your expertise and leadership skills, you will receive a competitive salary up to £80,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software applications
  • Oversee the development of software applications, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
