Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PCV Mechanic to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a PCV Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safe and roadworthy conditions
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Full UK driving license
  • Desirable: PCV driving license or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with Cummins and Scania drivetrain and electrical systems
  • Experience with modern electrical systems and OEM diagnostic systems
  • At least 3 years of post-qualifying experience in a main dealer or PSV workshop
  • Recognized apprenticeship qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ level 3)
Working Hours

37 paid hours, 39.5 hour week total. Sunday to Saturday, 5 from 7. Day shifts only. Monday to Friday (Earlies) £18.32 per hour. Enhanced rate of £21.79 per hour for Saturday/Sunday and overtime.
