Job Title: PSV Fitter

At Shorterm Group, we are seeking a skilled PSV Fitter to join our team. As a PSV Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical systems and equipment on our modern fleet of buses and company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment on buses and company vehicles
  • Inspect and diagnose faults on vehicles
  • Test and repair vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Work on a variety of vehicles, including buses and company cars
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient and effective maintenance
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a PSV or HGV workshop
  • Experience with Cummins and Scania drivetrain and electrical systems
  • Experience with modern CAN bus electrical systems and OEM diagnostic systems
  • Recognised apprenticeship qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ 3) in heavy vehicle repair
  • Valid car and PCV driving licence (training may be provided for non-PCV licence holders)
