The Role:
- To support and execute Exponential-e's Public Sector Sales strategy, ensuring achievement of margin, revenue, and contract value targets.
- To deliver exceptional sales professionalism while exceeding key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term business plans to exceed targets.
- Achieve and exceed margin, contract value, and revenue targets.
- Deliver against key performance indicators and objectives.
- Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close key new business deals.
- Build and maintain a solid pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales achievements.
- Maintain opportunity pipelines and deal positions on CRM (Salesforce).
- Develop strategies, produce win-plans, and execute major deals.
- Define target lists and engage suspects based on clearly defined criteria.
- Conduct and record target prospect meetings in line with agreed KPIs.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of factors impacting technology markets, adoption, and trends for assigned verticals.
- Build strong relationships with senior executives within customer and prospect bases.
- Develop and sustain networks of contacts and key individuals within assigned verticals and target market arenas.
- Identify and develop opportunities for strategic step-change revenue growth.
- Produce quotations and lead Exponential-e responses to tenders, RFI's, RFPs, and other response formats.
- Lead virtual teams in pursuit of major business opportunities.
- Collect and understand target client requirements, building commercial propositions based on Capex, Opex, and other commercial needs to gain competitive advantage.
- Understand and articulate deal-level P&Ls.
- Present at industry events.
- Build and leverage technical and commercial knowledge of key Exponential-e product propositions.
- Formulate and complete client presentations to an exceptional standard.
- Complete monthly reports and administrative tasks to quality standards and required timeframes.
About You:
- Experience in developing businesses within the Public Sector.
- Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing major opportunities.
- Good understanding of Public Sector buying practices and relevant frameworks.
- Extensive experience in Connectivity, Cloud, Hosting, Managed & Professional Services.
- Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, campaign management).
- Detailed understanding of sales processes and demonstration of world-class sales rigour.
- Proven and consistent track record of target over-achievement.
- Excellent networking ability and natural communication style.
- Excellent communicator with strong presentation, numeracy, and written skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions and outcomes.
- Able to travel within designated territories and work with minimal supervision.
- Microsoft XP (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point) skills.
- Salesforce CRM experience advantageous but not essential.
- Degree-level education advantageous, but track record of success in aligned careers more important.
Compensation: The salary for this role is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and performance-related bonuses.
