Job Summary

We are looking for an Administrative Support Specialist to provide efficient and cheerful administrative organisation and support to our Director and the wider team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative services, organising diary meetings, emails, and correspondence, as well as participating in the planning and implementation of the team's work programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative services to the Ministry & Discipleship team, including replying to correspondence and telephone messages on behalf of the Director.
  • Organise diary meetings, emails, and other correspondence.
  • Assist with the preparation of papers, take minutes, and write up notes as required.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the team's work programme.
  • Book, publicise, and organise training events, including making practical arrangements for conferences and training courses.
  • Ensure the provision of hospitality for visitors.
  • Maintain appropriate databases for training.
  • Oversight and completion of administration for readers and other licensed lay ministries.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification (or demonstrable competence) in IT skills, including managing emails, word processing, producing publicity materials, spreadsheet creation and editing, PowerPoint presentations, and database creation and management.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in the design and delivery of administrative procedures.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise administrative work and maintain financial records.
  • Ability to work confidentially within a complex and sensitive framework of relationships.
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure.
  • Ability to publicise and organise training conferences and events.

Benefits

KaneHR offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience, with a possible increase following successful completion of the probationary period. Benefits include a pension scheme and up to 25 days' holiday, dependent on weekly hours. The role involves some travel to occasional offsite meetings and training events.
