**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Dining Service Coordinator to join our team at Tao group. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services, from preparation to presentation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to maintain composure under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restaurant Set-up: Ensure that all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and well-stocked, including tables, chairs, caging, glassware, cutlery, and condiments.
  • Pass Section Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked pass section, ensuring that all crockery, cutlery, and condiments are readily available.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock counts, reporting any shortages to management and ensuring that the restaurant has adequate supplies for the shift.
  • Dish Delivery: Take responsibility for ensuring that all food, crockery, cutlery, and condiments leaving the kitchen or pass meet the required standards and are delivered to the correct table in a timely manner.
  • Advance Orders: Assist in the management of advance orders for special and group dining menus.
  • Food Bible and Allergy Chart: Maintain and keep the food bible and allergy chart up-to-date.
  • Menu Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the restaurant menu products, including safe substitutes for dishes containing specific allergens.
  • Pre-Shift Briefings: Attend managers' pre-shift briefings and ensure preparation of service, including special or private events according to the blocking sheet.
  • Out-of-Stock Communication: Communicate out-of-stock or limited stock information at daily staff briefings and during service, managing limited stock on the point-of-sale system.
  • Kitchen and Floor Communication: Act as a communicator between the kitchen and floor managers to ensure the smooth running of food service, providing assistance to chefs when required.
  • Breakage Control: Monitor and control breakages on a day-to-day basis in line with restaurant guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inform management of all repair and maintenance work required for the point-of-sale system and printers.
  • Guest Interaction: Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Commis Waiter Training: Ensure commis waiters are trained and have the necessary tools to carry out their duties.
  • Team Monitoring: Monitor training within designated divisions and provide feedback to management to improve team performance.
  • Distribution of Duties: Effectively manage the distribution of duties among commis waiters, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard.

Requirements:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including meals on duty, uniform, and opportunities for career development.
