About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated social worker to join our team at South Gloucestershire Council. As a social worker in our Children in Care service, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with children and young people in care, including those with complex needs and those who are unaccompanied asylum seekers.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of children and young people, working closely with families and other professionals.
  • Conduct regular visits and assessments to ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people.

Requirements

  • Qualified social worker with relevant registration to practice.

  • Specialist knowledge of relevant services, including latest service developments, legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
