Join Our Team as a Building and Facilities Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Facilities Management Team as a Building and Facilities Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our premises, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and providing excellent customer service to our internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with building user requirements and provide support to our internal customers.
  • Conduct regular health and safety tours, fire extinguisher checks, alarm testing, legionella testing, emergency lighting testing, and panic alarm testing.
  • Induct new staff members, monitor building materials, report faults, and audit risk and CoSHH assessments.
  • Work independently at our FM managed premises in the North Somerset region, requiring regular travel and access to your own transport.
  • Share the manning of the Hub helpdesk based in Bridgwater on a rota basis, answering emails and enquiries from internal customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or a health and safety environment or premises management role.
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organized, flexible, and adaptable with a strong attention to detail.
