Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Compliance Technologist to join our dynamic Regulatory and Technical department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the technical aspects of new product development, ensuring products meet all safety, quality, and legal requirements for UK, EU, and US markets.

  • Develop and implement technical strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Utilise industry knowledge to contribute to product design and concept development
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure product specifications are met
  • Monitor and report on product performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Conduct product risk assessments and liaise with NPD on findings
  • Support the continuous improvement of products and processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in Technical, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regarding food contact items, child appeal household items, home goods, and various other FMCG industries
  • Proven experience in new product development regulatory affairs within the UK & EU
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to commute to Brighton 2-3 days a week
