About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Oncologist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cancer care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership in the management of gynaecological and breast cancers, working closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review patient cases and develop treatment strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new cancer services and treatments, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Act as a clinical/educational supervisor to locally employed doctors and doctors in training programmes.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Medical Oncology.
  • Wide experience of prescribing chemotherapy, including E-prescribing.
  • Experience of Acute Oncology.
