Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Austin Fraser in Chesterfield. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children who require additional support due to special educational needs.

About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and other special educational needs. You will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a child, fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Your Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism, adapting materials and resources as needed to ensure they have access to the curriculum.
* Implement individualised strategies and interventions to support the child's academic progress and social development.
* Support the child with sensory needs, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges using positive behaviour management techniques.
* Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and achievements, communicating regularly with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the child's support network.

About You:
We are looking for someone with relevant experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based interventions is also essential. A positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse needs, patience, and empathy are key qualities we are looking for in a successful candidate. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Salary and Benefits:
