Job Description: Prison Education Lecturer

We are currently seeking a full-time Generalist Lecturer to work in our prison education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality curricula to students, teaching subjects such as English, Maths, Functional Skills, or an alternative as led by the College management team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and rehabilitation, and will be able to make a positive impact on the lives of adult learners.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognised Teaching Qualification
  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics
  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
  • Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills
