Transport Planning Specialist

NXT Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Transport Planning Specialist to join their team in Carlisle.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work with other transport planners to schedule daily planning activities, ensuring efficient use of vehicles and drivers. They will take into account WTR and Drivers Hours Rules, vehicle weights and dimensions, and the Road Traffic Act.
Key Responsibilities- Maximise vehicle utilisation and minimise cost through effective planning.
- Allocate work efficiently among vehicles, drivers, collections, and deliveries, considering customer requirements.
- Conduct driver de-briefings, check and authorise driver timesheets, and download Tachograph data.
- Be flexible with work demands, including evening and weekend shifts.
- Maintain an excellent telephone manner.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£40,000 per year, depending on experience.
