About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily routines, including personal hygiene, meals, and activities
  • Developing life skills and promoting independence
  • Attending medical appointments and supporting the boys' well-being
  • Completing daily paperwork and handover documents
  • Working with the boys to achieve their targets and goals

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends
  • Understanding of the issues facing young people in care
  • Residential Childcare qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
