Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our Commercial Legal Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support for commercial engagements, assist in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, and advise on relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Agreement Support
    • Lead the legal support for commercial engagements and assist in the drafting and review of commercial agreements, including LES Agreements, sales and distribution agreements, IT agreements, marketing agreements, general terms & conditions, direct and indirect procurement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and requests for proposals.
  • Business Development
    • Help the business develop new go-to-market strategies and products and services, and advise on the same.
  • Contract Management
    • Improve existing contract templates and create new ones, working closely with other functions and legal team members.
  • Research and Advice
    • Research and advise on relevant laws which could apply to Ledger Enterprise directly or could otherwise impact LES.
  • Process Improvement
    • Define and drive improvements in the management of legal processes and contract documentation flows, approvals, reporting, and archiving consistent with internal processes.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with other functions to contribute to the development of internal tools and to the improvement of existing processes, guidelines, and policies.
  • Dispute Resolution
    • Advise on disputes and help the broader legal team in improving and creating compliant solutions to resolve complicated business challenges.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Law or non-law degree with GDL/Diploma.
  • Experience
    • At least 5 years commercial legal experience dealing with Platform as a Service (PaaS) or similar businesses at a global law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • Skills
    • Excellent experience with contract drafting and negotiation in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Creative and practical thinker who can communicate information accurately and completely, while being concise and digestible for non-lawyers.
    • Collaborative team player standing ready to help colleagues.
