Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Respiratory Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Medway Rainham PCN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care and be able to work autonomously to deliver specialist clinical care to patients with complex respiratory needs.

Key Duties
  • Provide specialist respiratory nursing services to patients and their families/carers with complex care needs.
  • Offer support, advice, and education to primary health care teams, hospice, and hospital staff.
  • Participate in quality initiatives for service improvement and champion respiratory services across CLCH and the South West Division.
Requirements
  • RN Level 1 registration with the NMC.
  • Post-registration respiratory qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Master's level study in a related subject (or willingness to work towards).
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Course.
  • Advanced Communication Skills Course.
  • Advanced Physical Assessment Course.
  • Teaching and Assessment qualification.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of working with respiratory patients at a senior level.
  • Experience of working within a general practice setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop new initiatives.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage change.
  • Participation in service development and audit.
