Job Title and Role

The Debt Recovery Specialist is a crucial member of the Global Working Capital team, based in both Australia and the UK. This professional will oversee credit control activities for specific practice groups and national clients. The primary objective is to effectively collect payments owed for the provision of legal services, focusing on reducing debt levels, debt aging, and potential losses.

  • Regularly participate in debtor review meetings with Partners and secretaries to comprehend debt nature, agree on collection strategies, and escalate debt issues.
  • Analyze debtors' ledgers to determine priorities and risks.
  • Identify cases requiring escalation to achieve payment and report to the Credit Control Lead.
  • Contribute to the development of monthly cash flow forecasts.
Main Responsibilities
  • Regulate and maintain accurate collection data in Elite 3e, adhering to best practices.
  • Generate detailed reports for significant client accounts, partners, or clients upon request.
  • Dispatch relevant correspondence associated with collections to internal and external clients.
  • Attend regular ledger review meetings with the Credit Control Lead to address unresolved matters.
  • Guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
