We are seeking a highly skilled Product Controller to join our London-based team. This role is central to overseeing Independent Price Verification (IPV), valuations, P&L management, and exposures management for the Natural Gas or LNG desk.
Key Responsibilities:- Independent Price Verification (IPV): Perform IPV to ensure the accuracy and reliability of market prices and valuations.
- Valuations: Conduct detailed valuations of trading positions, focusing on natural gas or LNG, to support precise financial reporting.
- P&L Management: Manage and oversee profit and loss (P&L) to ensure accurate recording and reporting of trading results.
- Exposures Management: Monitor and manage exposures related to natural gas or LNG trading activities, assessing and mitigating associated risks.
- Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on valuations, P&L, and exposures to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Engage with traders, risk managers, and finance teams to ensure alignment on valuation methodologies and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls regarding financial reporting and risk management.
- At least 1+ years of experience as a Product Controller or in a similar role, specifically within the natural gas or LNG markets.
- Strong expertise in IPV, valuations, P&L management, and exposures management.
- Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex trading data and deliver actionable insights.
- High level of precision and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and internal controls related to energy trading and financial reporting.
