Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- To assess patients' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
- To organise the delivery of nursing care, deploying staff effectively and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
- To communicate changes to patient information and treatment plans to team members, both verbally and in writing.
- To adhere to NMC standards of record keeping and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- To participate in nursing audit and service improvement activities, contributing to the development of best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- To provide advice and act as a role model to other members of the team, promoting a positive and professional image of nursing.
- To supervise the work of nursing support staff, ensuring tasks are delegated appropriately and that staff are equipped to provide high-quality care.
- To contribute to the day-to-day management of the Directorate, co-operating with colleagues to provide an appropriate level of nursing service and address bed management issues.
- To participate in education and training of junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- To involve patients and carers in the planning and delivery of care, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected and incorporated into care plans.
- To participate in clinical supervision, reflecting on practice and identifying areas for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be a registered nurse with current NMC registration and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
