About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join our Technical Direction Engineering Team. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of conceptual designs, tender preparation documents, and BIM models.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including GA's, Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLD's, PFD and P&ID using AutoCAD/Revit & Tekla.
  2. Take responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the project timescales and necessary quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements & industry standards.
  4. Utilise a Common Data environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration.
  5. Work in the Engineering Team to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of the project works.
  6. Produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors.
  7. Create 3D renders for use in bid documentation.
  8. Generate, import & work with lidar scans in CAD using Trimble X9/X7 Scanner.
  9. Liaise with Electrical Design Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.
Requirements
  1. Previous CAD experience 2D & 3D.
  2. Relevant engineering qualification.
  3. Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit/Tekla & other relevant CAD Software.
  4. Knowledge of BIM processes & standards (ISO).
  5. Experience with Common Data Environments.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.
  7. Able to adapt to new technologies & software as required.
