Job Title: SEN Tutor

As a SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons. Our pupils are at secondary school age and require support with most working up to foundation level.

As a SEN Tutor, you will be working with pupils who have been out of education for some time, and your responsibility will be to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.

We will work closely with you to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils
  • Work with pupils who have been out of education for some time to reengage them in their learning
  • Offer structure and support to help pupils achieve their full potential
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor pupil progression and support effective learning
Requirements:
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Ability to be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
