SEN Tutor Specialist

As a SEN Tutor, you will be working one-to-one with pupils who require additional support in their education. This role is ideal for experienced teachers who are looking to step away from the classroom and offer more personalized, enjoyable lessons.
Pupils at secondary school age will be working at a level equivalent to foundation, and many will have been out of education for some time. It is your responsibility to re-engage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor the progression of each pupil and support effective learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education
- Plan and create engaging lesson plans to boost attainment levels
- Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor pupil progression and support effective learning
Requirements
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
Eligibility
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
Location: Within the community or pupils' home in Cambridge
Position: 1:1 Tutor
Type of work: Contract
Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
Full-time/part-time: Part-time (15 hours per week, per student)
Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour
