About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineer - Electrical Systems to join our team at Morgan Ryder Associates. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the electrical systems that power high-speed production lines in a state-of-the-art production facility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues swiftly to minimise downtime. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on cutting-edge packaging machinery and site services
  • Ensure smooth operation of equipment; Motors, Inverter Drives, PLC's, Control Systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues swiftly to minimise downtime
  • Optimise and enhance automation systems to boost reliability and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Time served Electrical Engineer, min HNC (or equivalent)
  • Min 3-5 years in industrial electrical systems, with knowledge of PLCs, SCADA and automated control systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7, TIA Portal, AS-I Profibus
