We are partnering with a County Council in the South West to recruit a Senior Planning Lawyer on a locum basis for 3 months, with potential extension. The role can be conducted fully remotely and offers an hourly rate of £55 per hour (subject to PQE).

The position involves handling a mixed caseload of planning, highways, and enforcement matters, including providing planning advice, attending planning committee meetings, and supporting governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities include drafting and advising on s.106 agreements, CIL certificates, lawful use certificates, and other planning-related matters. Additionally, you will advise on, draft, and complete highways agreements, including deeds of dedication and footpath orders.
