Pet Therapy Volunteer Specialist

Salary: The annual salary for this role is approximately £25,500 - £31,500, depending on experience. Job Description:
As a Volunteer Pet Visitor, you will primarily interact with patients in designated settings, such as hospitals or care homes. During visits, you will engage with patients in activities tailored to their specific needs and interests. This may include playing games, watching movies, or simply spending quality time together. Your trained companion animal will provide a source of comfort and companionship, helping to alleviate stress and anxiety associated with hospitalization or long-term care.

- A genuine passion for animal welfare and the benefits of animal-assisted therapy;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of mobility;
- A calm and gentle demeanor, particularly when interacting with anxious or distressed patients;
- Physical stamina to perform regular visits to patients' locations without undue fatigue;
