Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Vendor Risk Management Specialist to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of vendor risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vendor risk management tools and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective vendor oversight.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned vendor relationships, enhancing communication and ensuring seamless interactions.
  • Support the expansion of the Vendor Risk Management Program across regions, analyzing and consolidating data to meet reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of internal business owners' responsibilities and ensure strong oversight of vendor-related risks.
  • Participate in the assessment of vendor risk, develop mitigation plans, and assign monitoring responsibilities.
  • Complete risk and performance assessments, as well as due diligence requirements, in collaboration with internal business owners.
  • Organize required meetings between internal business owners and vendors, facilitating issue escalation and resolution.
  • Analyze vendor performance issues and participate in conversations with regulators, Internal Audit, and Compliance as needed.
  • Ensure vendor-provided products comply with regulatory guidelines and identify training needs related to vendor products or services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Vendor Management experience, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of Vendor Risk Management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and manage resources effectively.
  • Contract review and management expertise, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions
  • Must prioritize and delegate tasks to meet schedules of several concurrent projects and support tasks.
  • Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and have a valid work or study permit, if applicable.
