Human Resources Generalist - Recruitment

Job Summary
The London Police Service is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to lead the recruitment process for various positions within the organization. As a key member of the HR team, you will be responsible for executing the full cycle recruitment process, including developing and implementing recruitment plans, creating job postings, pre-screening applications, conducting interviews, and providing hiring recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment plans to attract top talent
  • Create and post job postings on various platforms
  • Pre-screen applications and create shortlists for interviews
  • Conduct telephone pre-screen interviews and develop job-specific interview questions
  • Participate in selection panels and provide hiring recommendations
  • Communicate job offers to successful candidates and answer questions related to employment
  • Compile and report on recruitment data, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement
  • Engage in proactive recruitment, sourcing, and development of the LPS employer brand
  • Represent the employer brand in a professional and respectful manner
  • Assist in identifying barriers and developing recommendations to ensure talent management policies, practices, and systems are equitable

Requirements
  • 3-year post-secondary diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
  • CHRP designation
  • 2-3 years' experience in HR, preferably in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Strong problem-solving skills and judgment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
