Job Title: Autism Practitioners

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Autism Practitioners to join our team in the South West Area Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support to autistic individuals, empowering them to access opportunities that matter to them.

Job Description:

Our team currently provides outreach and housing support to over 35 autistic people across Lanark, Biggar & Carluke. We encourage and support individuals to access education, employment, and leisure activities that promote their well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered support to autistic individuals, promoting their autonomy and choice.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with autistic individuals or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals and families.
