Autism Practitioner Job Description

At Scottish Autism, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Practitioner to join our team in the South West Area Services. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to autistic individuals, empowering them to access opportunities that matter to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review personalized support plans for individuals, ensuring their life goals and aspirations are at the forefront of their support.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals, their support networks, and stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote independence, active citizenship, and community inclusion.
  • Provide support with daily living tasks, personal care, and household chores, ensuring individuals maintain their tenancies and make informed decisions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in social care is desirable, but not essential; we are seeking individuals willing to learn and develop into the role.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, with a willingness to undertake shift work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships.
