About the Role

Wiltshire College & University Centre seeks a dedicated lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in Psychology and Sociology. The successful candidate will contribute to students' holistic development, addressing their academic and pastoral needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment in the Psychology and Sociology sector.
  • Collaborate with local employers and engage in community programs to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in departmental activities and research.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Psychology or Sociology or have equivalent professional experience in the field.
  • Have a proven track record of teaching BTEC, A Level, or HE Psychology or Sociology qualifications, or possess substantial mentoring/coaching experience.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and engaging teaching style that motivates students and supports their academic and personal growth.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £60 per hour plus holiday pay, 37 days annual leave for Academic Staff, including bank holidays and additional closure days over the Christmas period, automatic enrolment into the Teachers' Pension Scheme, access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), discounts with a wide variety of retailers, and free onsite car parking.
