About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinical team at GLG Vets in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical and surgical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care, including medical diagnostics, consultations, and surgeries.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and education regarding their pets' care.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Keep detailed and accurate clinical records.
  • Participate in CPD opportunities, including internal programs and external conferences.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £43,088 - £57,169 per annum, pro-rata, including allowances. In addition to a generous CPD allowance and RCVS fees, we also offer a range of benefits, including:

  • 25 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays) with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days, increasing after 2 years of service.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the MRCVS and have proven experience in clinical practice. You should possess strong communication skills and a caring, compassionate approach to client care. Ability to work well within a team and independently is essential, as is a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
