Autism and ADHD Teaching Assistant Specialist

Step Teachers is looking for a highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team. As an Autism and ADHD Teaching Assistant Specialist, you will work closely with students with autism and ADHD, providing tailored support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting to meet the individual needs of students.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of improvement and celebrating successes.
- Support students in developing life skills, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents/carers, ensuring seamless transitions and collaborative working.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications and training in SEN support and teaching assistantship.
- Experience working with students with autism and ADHD, understanding their unique needs and requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
