Nuclear Medicine Department Manager

Job Summary
To manage the Nuclear Medicine service at both acute sites, working closely with the Lead Superintendent Radiographer. The post will be responsible for the operational management of the Nuclear Medicine Imaging Department.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake daily management of the Nuclear Medicine service across all sites.
- Share knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine.
- Implement supporting documentation to manage legislation related to ionising radiation.
- Continually develop the Nuclear Medicine service using evidence-based practice.
- Oversee training, development, and maintaining of competence for the Nuclear Medicine team.
- Support the facilitation of optimisation of patient pathways.
Main Duties
- Participate in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine.
- Demonstrate expertise and specialist knowledge of technique and radiation protection.
- Support the management and development of the Radiology Centre.
- Manage the day-to-day provision of the Nuclear Medicine team.
- Implement and support documentation to manage legislation related to ionising radiation.
- Develop and promote the Radiology Centre.
- Supervise and train Radiographers and students.
