About the Role


Avery Healthcare seeks a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our award-winning team. As a Care Assistant, you will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Assist residents in all aspects of personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity, and respect for individuals at all times.
  • Recognize and understand clinical risk areas in residents, such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infections. Escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
  • Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

About You


To be successful in this role, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is not required, as we offer a thorough induction and training program to ensure confidence within your role.


Requirements



  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Initiative and respect for residents and other people in the home.
  • Efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
  • Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
